Oncology EHR

Promoting Quality & Safety in Oncology Electronic Health Records

We currently have an EMR and PM system with Allscripts (formerly Misys). We have learned that the Misys product will not meet the standards of the HITECH Act. We have been looking at various oncology EHR vendors and would like to hear feedback from those who may use Aria (by Varian), Mosaic (by Impac), or other oncology vendors. What do you like or don't like about the system? How would you rate the level of support?

We are using Centricity PM/EMR with Intellidose with success. The interfaces work well for flow of drugs and charges. We love Centricity due to its flexibility, clinical reporting capability and strong PM. Intellidose is a very good chemo protocol manager and with interfaces to Centricity makes a strong business model for a less expensive than Varian or Impac oncology suite for a small to mid size oncology practice.

I appreciate your input. Can you please tell me if Centricity EMR or Intellidose (guessing not) has any applications to assist with tumor staging, toxicity grading, or clinical trials?
Jennifer:
I work with AdvanTech Health, and represent the MyWay E-Plus software package, which is a hybrid of Allscripts product, with ongoing support services by e-Transmedia. The MyWay platform is designed for smaller practices (1-15 practitioners), and is in compliance with all HITECH requirements. I would be happy to help you in any way I can, or to point you in the direction of a competitor's product if we can't best meet your needs.
Marc,

Thank you for introducing yourself to me. I will keep you in mind as we begin our search of EMRs.

Sorry to be so tardy in responding. As you by now may know, Intellidose does contain a staging wizard and has capacity for toxicity grading and clinical trials.

I had come across a web based EHR vendor Waiting Room solutions who focus on specialty based EHR's.
Their EHR solutions clearly cover the challenges and needs of a cor...

They also have a tool to calculate the savings one could have on implementing a given specialty of EHR. This tool does give a pretty fair approximation of the initial investment required and the time frame which one is looking at to recover this cost.

There are other useful advantages ( in the form of federal incentives) offered by implementing their EHR's.

You could also look at what their customers say about their solutio...

If anyone else who had experience in using their EHR's , feel free to comment.
